"A Heavenly Hideaway"
Manta House is on a beautiful side of Grand Turk island, offering peace, tranquillity and beautiful sunsets. The house is directly opposite a stunning stretch of beach, inviting you to take a dip at any time. The Sandbar (also owned by the hosts) is nearby, and is the perfect place to hang out, relax and enjoy great food and drinks. All other amenities are close by.

TOP 10 BEST CARIBBEAN BEACH BARS / Sandbar, Grand Turk
Grand Turk may just be the mellowest spot in the laid-back Caribbean, maybe even on Earth. Not much moves but the wild horses that roam the beaches and streets. But come evening, the Sandbar fills to overflowing. People who've been hanging out since lunch slide over at the teak tables to make room for the evening crowd, yet nobody leaves this simple wooden platform directly above the beach. The "green flash" seems to appear on command each night, and on Fridays, you can hear the rake 'n' scrape band playing across the street. grandturk-mantahouse.com/sandbar.htm Signature Drink: The Rum Punch matches the Caribbean standard—rum, juice, bitters—with a marvelous level of mango that hides just how potent the drink really is. Stay: Across the street, Manta House's beach-view bungalows with one, two, or three bedrooms start at $1,190 per week; grandturk-mantahouse.com.

It's little more than a treehouse hanging over the sand, but this sunny, friendly Duke Street beach bar/restaurant is a beloved hang of locals and visitors alike. The Sandbar is owned and run by two radiant and convivial Canadian sisters who also own the Manta House, a spiffy three-suite B&B across the street that's popular with visiting divers...

VOTED TURKS & CAICOS "BEST BITES OF THE CARIBBEAN TRAVEL GUIDE"
Must-Order: Rum Punch and Cracked Conch

You can’t beat the prime beachfront locale of this laid-back, open-air bar-cum-restaurant that’s popular with scuba divers. The rum drinks are potent, the conch comes from local fishermen, and the sunsets are unforgettable.

"Best Spot for Lunch"
Friendly staff, good affordable food, great views and rum punch with some extra "punch", what more does one need. Great for lunch or sunset drinks, great cracked conch and delicious grouper sandwich. True island feel, we could easily make the Sand Bar part of our daily routine.

A good portion of our family' travel decisions pivot around whether a property to can assist with our unique dietary issues. So, we typically look for small, locally owned lodging/restaurants off the beaten track. We have enjoyed seeing the satisfaction of the staff at the end of our trips in their accomplishment of meeting and exceeding our dietary needs...

Sandbar Guests Say...

Breath taking views and comfortable beachy feel. The ocean breeze is just as refreshing as the drinks here. Order a Ginger beer for the kids and the fish or conch bites for yourself.

We went to the Sand Bar a few times for dinner, lunch or just drinks. The view is spectacular and generally a fun crowd. It's a great place to go grab some drinks.

The Sandbar is a wonderful beachside hangout. With an interesting mix of locals, ex-pats and tourists, it is a great place for conversation, rum and something to eat. Tanya and her team make everyone feel welcome. As a scuba diver, it was a great place to dry out with a post-dive beer - or three!
